Mark S. Ordan has been a Director since July 12, 2020 and Chair of our Board of Directors since July 2023. He previously served as Executive Chair of our Board of Directors from January 2023 to June 30, 2023. Mr. Ordan served as our Chief Executive Officer from July 2020 through December 2022. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Ordan founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Quality Care Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust. Prior thereto, Mr. Ordan served as Chief Executive Officer of Washington Prime Group Inc., from its inception as a spinoff of the Simon Property Group.

Mr. Ordan has held a number of additional leadership roles including CEOs of Sunrise Senior Living, The Mills Corporation, Balducci’s LLC, and was founder and CEO of Fresh Fields Market, which he later merged with Whole Foods Market, Inc.

With a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Vassar College, Mr. Ordan earned a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Additionally, he received the Hitchcock Humanitarian Award from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is an inductee of the Washington Business Hall of Fame.

Mr. Ordan is the Board Chair for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He also currently serves on the boards of The Carlyle Group, Vassar College and Holton-Arms School.
