Pediatrix Completes New $100 Million Credit Facility

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 4, 2001--Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc., (NYSE:PDX) today announced that it has closed on a new $100 million, three-year senior revolving credit facility.
The $100 million credit facility was arranged through a syndication of commercial banks that includes Fleet Bank, N.A. as lead arranger and administrative agent, U.S. Bank as syndication agent and HSBC Bank USA as documentation agent. Terms of the new facility are consistent with the terms of the $75 million credit facility that it replaces, which was due to mature later this year.
Pediatrix currently has approximately $17 million outstanding on the new credit facility.
With the combination of cash flow from operations and the credit facility, Pediatrix believes that it has sufficient financial resources to continue to execute its growth strategy for the foreseeable future. Since 1996, Pediatrix has successfully acquired more than 75 physician group practices and integrated them into its national group model.
