vRad Begins 2017 with 16th and 17th Patent

Newest Patents Issued Enhance Radiology Workflow, Support Better Outcomes

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — (February 22, 2017) – vRad (Virtual Radiologic), a MEDNAX company and the nation's leading telemedicine company, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued the Company's 16th and 17th patents. Patent No. 9,519,753, "Radiology Workflow Coordination Techniques" and Patent No. 9,542,481, "Radiology Data Processing Standardization Techniques" further strengthen vRad's patent portfolio. "Radiology Workflow Coordination Techniques" enables a clinical assistant to improve display characteristics of image presentation, supplement incomplete study data, and associate comparison images with the study to enhance radiologist productivity and improve overall quality. "Radiology Data Processing Standardization Techniques" normalizes disparate data from any number of facilities utilizing automated mapping algorithms, strengthens operational and workflow capabilities and enables accurate clinical histories to bepresented quickly and efficiently to radiologists.
