MEDNAX Announces Expansion of Credit Facility

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 9, 2015-- MEDNAX, Inc. (NYSE:MD), today announced the expansion of its credit facility from $1.5 billion to $1.9 billion. The Company’s credit facility, which was refinanced in October, 2014, now consists of a $1.7 billion unsecured revolving credit facility and a $200 million unsecured term loan. MEDNAX had the ability to increase the total credit facility by up to $300 million, which was increased to $400 million based on the success of the Company’s syndication efforts. The Company may further increase the total credit facility to up to $2.2 billion on an unsecured basis, subject to the satisfaction of specified conditions.

Following the completion of the previously disclosed acquisition of Virtual Radiologic (vRad) on May 18th, total borrowings under the credit facility were approximately $1.3 billion.
