Mark Ordan is Chairman and CEO of Pediatrix Medical Group (NYSE: MD) and is lead independent director of The Carlyle Group.

Mark previously served as CEO of Fresh Fields Markets, Mills Corporation, Sunrise Senior Living, Washington Prime Group, and Quality Care Properties. He previously also served on the boards of Federal Realty Investment Trust, Harris Teeter and Vereit.

He is the immediate past board chair and serves on the executive committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the US Coast Guard Foundation. He previously served on the boards of Vassar College, The Holton Arms School and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Mark received his BA in Philosophy from Vassar College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
